“銅版画と絵画の新たな可能性”
作家として生きる道を考えていた頃、銅版画ではプレス機の大きさ以上の作品が作れないこと、
また、銅版画のクオリティを維持しつつも、それ以上に、より自由な表現の可能性を模索していました。
試行錯誤の結果、銅版画をコラージュすることで大きさの制限から開放され、同時に絵具で自由に描くことにより独自の世界観を創り出すことに挑戦しています。

projection mapping event Announcement
On May 18th (Saturday), one of my artwork will be used in a projection mapping event held at Tsukiji Honganji Temple.
The projection mapping is scheduled to start three time at 6, 7 and 8pm.
There will also be a market, charity corner, stage performances, and workshops.
Please come and enjoy the event!

A Journey through history with Ukiyo-e, Nishiki-e, and Historical Images.
This is a one-day event and admission is free.

90th-Anniversary Commemorative Exhibition with Copperplate Artist Asuka Irie.
・From March 1st (Wednesday) to 21st (Tuesday), Main building 1st floor front hall
・March 15th (Wednesday) to April 3rd (Monday), Front window on the 1st floor of the main building
・March 22nd (Wednesday) to 27th (Monday), "Asuka Irie Exhibition" Art Gallery on the 6th floor of the main building
Asuka Irie, a copperplate artist who paints the inhabitants of a different world in rich colors, created special artwork to commemorate the 90th anniversary of the opening of the Nihonbashi Takashimaya store that will be exhibited in the front hall on the 1st floor of the main building. In the window display, powerful collaboration works with the third generation of “Koraiya’s Kabuki”no will be exhibited. Then, Nihonbashi Takashimaya will hold the main event which is the first solo exhibition of Asuka Irie.
